Cervical Health Awareness Month
Did you know that 12,000 new cases of cervical cancer are diagnosed in the U.S. every year? And that cervical cancer is one of the most curable cancers if treated early enough?
January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. But whatever month it is, Tapestry Health encourages people to take charge of their health.
If you are younger than 26, you can guard yourself against cervical cancer and/or genital warts by getting the HPV vaccine, available at our health clinics. Whether female or male, you may receive the vaccine.
If you are a woman who is at least 21 and has never had a Pap smear, or if you have not had one in the last two or three years, come to Tapestry Health. Paps screen for cervical cancer and can detect abnormal changes at an early and treatable stage, especially when done routinely.Pressroom
